YOUTH ORCHESTRA

The mission of the MTZO Youth Orchestra is to provide high quality musical experiences and the opportunity of performing for the benefit of the community and its young musicians. Membership in the MYO is open to young musicians from age 7 to 21. Members must participate in their school instrumental music programs and take private music lessons. Financial scholarships for instruction are available and awarded based on need. Performance opportunities provide a wide range of meaningful experiences throughout the year. MYO depends on the generosity of patrons to make programming possible. MYO will create a musical education experience and discipline which nurtures a lifelong love and respect for the arts. Over 100 hours of rehearsal and instruction will be provided each season in addition to performance opportunities.
